Empowering Beliefs
Positivity creates beliefs that help us to be better people. Our experiences are shaped by our thinking. Even obstacles have value as long we can see them.
We can develop convictions that will help us to feel happier and achieve more, regardless of the situation.
Every day I start with at least one of my personal empowering beliefs. It clearly supports my efforts to transform my life through positive thinking. It helped me through my darkest hours. I do not say that lightly. Sometimes it was hard to stay positive. The wisdom to know that negativity does not get me anywhere and keeps my soul locked in was key to protecting myself from despair.
My Empowering Beliefs:
1. I understand my potential and can achieve amazing results when I put my mind to it.
2. Gratitude for everything I have that is good in my life. Even small things like fresh strawberries or the small flower in my garden remind me of how rich I actually am.
3. Learning from mistakes and setbacks. I know it is sometimes tough to focus on the lessons they contain when we do not see the silver lining on the horizon. We can learn from small things like a messed-up cooking adventure. Next time we know better.
4. I learned to find meaning in adversity. Tough times turned out to be the most rewarding phases of my life. I know now that I can emerge from any challenge with greater wisdom and courage. I can look back at the obstacles I have already overcome, and reassure myself that I can handle what is ahead.
5. Embracing change and accepting that life is a series of changes. I focus on the present moment and prepare myself to adapt to whatever circumstances come my way.
6. I dream big. Every so often I expand my wish list. Setting demanding but attainable goals gives me adventures to look forward to each day.
7. I practice forgiveness. I lighten my load by clearing away any resentment I am holding onto from the past. I try to set reasonable boundaries while I respond with compassion when others disappoint me. I also forgive myself.
8. I give generously whenever I can. Sharing what I have makes me more powerful and joyful. I often volunteer in my community and try speaking kindly to each person I meet.
Empowering Beliefs To Make Me Strive:
1. I take responsibility. I oversee my life. I hold myself accountable for the outcomes I create. I celebrate the fact that I have the power to determine my own future.
2. I apply effort. I have figured out my definition of success, so I know what is worth working for. I give myself credit when I am making progress rather than comparing myself to others.
3. I leverage my strengths. I have my own individual strengths that I can draw on. I know what I am good at and what I want to do. That knowledge guides my choices.
